In his usual fatherliness, the Executive Chairman of Nsit Ibom Local Government Area, Rt. Hon. Eric Akpan treated council staff to an exhilarating end-of-year solemn assembly.
The Nsit Ibom council boss reiterated Thanksgiving as a requisite for more blessings from God. Drawing his inspiration from the text preached by the day’s preacher, Comrade Umoinyang, he stressed that men should always thank God.
“I have always depended on God, and whatever I have become today is from God. Only a foolish man will live to the end of the year, feed well all his days and forget to thank his maker for the blessings.
So, I urge you all to remain steadfast in your service to God and man and see how he will continually lift you.” The chairman charged.
He also poured prayers, commanded God’s blessings upon the staff of Nsit Ibom, and pledged his unrelenting support to them until his last day in the office.
Also speaking, the Vice Chairman of Nsit Ibom, Hon. Oto Aaron commended the Head of Local Government service, Mrs Jenny Inyang, for her impactful and motherly administration. Adjudging that compassionate leadership has endeared the staff to her, improving service delivery productivity.
The prime point of the event was the celebration of the December-born staff of the council, and the Head of Service, Mrs Jenny Inyang, as one of the celebrants, thanked God and encouraged staff to be grateful in every situation they find themselves in.
The occasion also featured health talk sessions where the director of health, Mrs. Ini Orok, reminded staff about the free insecticide-treated net distribution ongoing and charged them to get theirs.
The Council secretary. Mr. Eno Udonsek, Director of Finance, Mrs. Uduak Etuk, Director of Agric. Mr. Francis Ekong, Director of Works. Engr. Mrs. Ime Eseme Essien, Director of SDEISC, and Mrs. Emem Asuquo, unit heads, and staff were in attendance.
