Courtesy Visit: Nsit Ibom Council Boss Receives Accolade from DCI 


Executive Chairman, Nsit Ibom Local Government Area, Hon. Eric Akpan receives accolades for donating a parcel of land for construction of Akwa Ibom State Operational Forward Base (AKSOFB) of Nigeria Immigration Service, a multi-million naira project, in the Area.
Hon. Akpan received the commendation when the Deputy Comptroller of Immigration, Akwa Ibom State Command, DCI Sunday Ogbole paid him courtesy visit in his office earlier today.
The DCI further appreciated the Chairman for not only making provision for the landed property but backing up the project with efficient evalution to ensure its viability.
He also thanked youths of Nsit Ibom for not only remainding law abiding but for also supporting the initiative.
Relatively, the Comptroller while sueing for a sustained partnership with the Chairman, the host community and entire stakeholders in the area pledged stregthening the existing cordial relationship between the corps and Nsit Ibom people.
In his response, the Chief Security officer of Nsit Ibom, Hon. Eric Akpan appreciated the DCI for his kind words and for deeming it fit to visit Nsit Ibom Council.
He reiterated the resolved of Nsit Ibom as a people to key into the visionary leadership of Governor Udom Emmanuel which anchors on growth, development and progress of the State.
Hon. Akpan disclosed that top in his agenda as the Chairman of the area is to ensure stability  and all hands being on deck for a peaceful co-existence in the area as well as protecting government’s projects.
He reasured continued support and protection of government projects situated in Nsit Ibom Local Government Area.
It could be recalled that Hon. Akpan attracted the Akwa Ibom State Forward Base of Nigeria Immigration Service, a multi-million naira project to Afaha Offiong the headquarters of Nsit Ibom Local Government Area.
The project which upon completion shall draw government presence to the area and has in the time being created short- term job opportunities for youths in the area.
