AKHA Committee on Special Projects holds Inaugural Meeting

Playing down on the ongoing recess of the house, the House Committee on Special Project, Monitoring/Implementation and Aviation Development earlier today held her inaugural meeting to chart the way forward as well as work out modalities to inspect the level of ongoing project by various ministries in the state as the state countdown to her 32nd anniversary.

Speaking at the maiden convoke, the Chairman of the Committee, Rt. Hon.(Elder) Aniekan Uko again congratulated the members for being found competent to be members of the committee and promised on his part to work with their avowed support.

The Ibesikpo Asutan lawmaker, regretted the delay in the inaugural meeting which he said was due to some unforeseen factors, but however assured the members that the committee will cover every time lost judiciously.

“I want to thank you all my colleagues for being chosen by the speaker to make this committee and I believed God that we will live up to expectation to and join hands to drive the completion agenda of the governor to a logical conclusion.

“It is a one agenda meeting which is the inspection of ongoing projects given to the ministries by the governor to ascertain their current level as well projects that will be commissioned by the governor and the Vice President Osinbajo during the 32nd anniversary of the state coming up next week.

“I’m optimistic that God will use us mightily to drive the Akwa Ibom dream” he assured.

Also speaking, the member for Ikot Abasi/Eastern Obolo, Rt.Hon.Uduak Odudoh thanked the chairman for the convoke and pleaded that the committee should expedite action in inspecting the ongoing projects in the state to make the vision of the governor to translated to reality for the benefit of Akwa Ibom people.

Hon. Otobong Bob, the member representing Nsit Ubium State Constituency on his part charged the committee to set to work immediately for positive result.

For the member representing Ikono State Constituency, Hon.Asuquo Nana Udo, his support to the committee is unwavering and charged members to work as a team.

“Though the inauguration is a bid belated, but let us set to work to catch up with the Akwa Ibom spirit” Hon.Godwin Ekpo assured.

The committee however resolved to set to work immediately on a date that will be made known.
