Oyo State Loses Immediate Past Governor

Obiola Ajimobi, the immediate past Governor of Oyo State, Nigeria has died in Lagos, a family source disclosed to The Guardian Newspaper.

Former Oyo State Governor Died at 70

Ajimobi was 70 years old.
He has served Oyo State as Governor from 2011 to 2019.
The immediate past Governor was born on December 16, 1949.
Before his death, he is reported to have stayed on life support machine since last friday at First Cardiology hospital in Ikoyi, Lagos State.
It was further disclosed that he had COVID-19 related ailment and was rushed to the above mentioned hospital after he reportedly fell into coma.
Although some days ago no one could open up as per confirming the death, but Vanguard had claimed in its report that a security who had served the departed former Governor for a good number of years confirmed the death, yesterday to pressmen.

The immediate past Oyo State Governor Was Recently Appointed Acting National Chairman of APC

It could be recalled before his departure, the immediate past Oyo State Governor was    
appointment by the national working committee of the All Progressive Congress (APC) as acting national chairman of the party.
Pundits suspects the recent appointment to have been the reason behind hiding his demise from the general public by family members.
Even though relatives are yet to make his demise public as expected by Oyo people and entire Nigerians.
