Northern Uruan, Rt. Hon. Usenobong Akpabio, Northern Uruan and Rt. Hon. Anthony Jude Akan, Northern Uruan stated that the current 2020 election zoning arrangement should be seen from the point of all inclusiveness as the entire North Central Uruan political bloc is too large and most significant to be excluded to be left out of political Office.
They stated that the bloc has a numerical strength as evident in the results of the 2019 general elections.
Other stakeholders who signed the communique include; Dr. (Mrs.) Itoro Etim, Central Uruan, Mr. Emmanuel Nicholas, Central Uruan, Elder Effiong Eduongo, Northern Uruan, Hon .Effiong Ufeh, Central Uruan, Hon.Cornelius Ikpe, Central Uruan.
Stakeholders seek equity and fairness in Uruan Local Government Polls
The stakeholders stated that being mindful of the need for a united Uruan nation to successfully achieve Project 2023 in support of Governor Udom Emmanuel’s Completion Agenda, there is need to support North Central Uruan to produce the Office of Executive Chairman for a second term.
They also called on the Political Leader of Uruan Local Government Area, Obong Ekpe Atakpo to urgently convene a meeting of Uruan Political Elders and Stakeholders to discuss the continued peaceful coexistence and further share ideas on matters of common interest to the North Central bloc.
