Tiwa Savage, a Nigerian female circular music-artist, through her twitter handle has backed out from making apperarance and performing at the upcoming DSTV DELICIOUS FESTIVAL in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The South African multi-billion-Rand company (DSTV) Delicious Festival is billed to take place on Saturday, September 21, 2019.
According to the Nigerian multiple awards winning artist, Tiwa Savage, reasons behind her cancellation of her performance at the upcoming festival is surrounded by the barbaric butchering and inhumane treatment of Nigerians in South Africa.
She twitted on her twitter handle and it reads in part: ” I refuse to watch the barbaric butchering of my people in SA. This is sick.
“For this reason, I will NOT be performing at the upcoming DSTV Delicious Festival in Johannesburg….”
Tiwa Savage condoles with Nigeirans whose relatives are affected by the Xenophobic violent attacks.
“My prayers are with all the victims and families affected by this”. She twitted.
Meanwhile, participants at the ongoing 50th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference at Zanzibar, Tanzania, have adjusted their discussions today to accommodate modalities for ending the xenophobic attack against Nigerians and other non indigenes in South Africa.
