Phyna BBNAIJA Season 7 housemate has insulted Akwa Ibom people during discussion with other housemates today in the big brother’s house, a live reality National Television show.
Phyna BBNAIJA season 7 female housemate insinuated that Akwa Ibom men are known as gatemen and house helps.
Rather than defend the Dakkada (rise to greatness) spirit of an Akwa Ibom man during the interaction, an Akwa Ibom son, a male housemate in the house known as PHARMSAVI couldn’t even uttered a word in defence rather he was even supporting his perceived cultural deficit Phyna BBNAIJA Season 7 posited.
The male housemate from Akwa Ibom State from Onna Local Government Area PHARMSAVI, even went further to respond to Phyna BBNAIJA Season 7 housemate that he always hide his surname “Akpan” (first son) so that people won’t know he is from a State of gatemen and house helps.
Many Akwa Ibom people took their displeasures to Facebook and other social media platforms, querying why a son of the State would treat the image of the State with such disdern.
Someone wrote on his page: “What an insult to the entire people of Akwa Ibom State?
He called on the Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Information and Strategy to wade into the matter in order to redeem the prestigious image of Akwa Ibom State.
“This is a TV show watch by millions of viewers across the world. The State Ministry of information should do something about this., please”.
Another Akwa Ibom daughter, known as Ima Obong Ubo, a social media influencer, wrote on her Facebook page:
“You denounce my identity?
A state I’m proud of and would gladly defend?
“You have no character.
You have no essence.
You’re of all men most empty and shallow.
“I’m ash@med of you.
I d€nounce you.
“I am Unique.
I am blessed.
I am strong.
I am intelligent.
I am resilience.
“I am indomitable.
I am resourceful.
I have produced heros from all works of life.
Yes, I have my own challenges but I’m a work in progress.
“I am Akwa Ibom State and you’re a Mist@ke coming from me”.
Also, on the comment session of Ima Obong Ubo’s post, over three hundred Akwa Ibomites wrote in defence of their State and condemned
PHARMSAVI’s response in strong terms.
