My Brother’s Burial Unites Akwa Ibom – Sen. OBA

The Gubernatorial Candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), Akwa Ibom State, Senator Bassey Albert Akpan – OBA, has expressed gratitude for the overwhelming solidarity, love and support shown to their family during the critical moments of losing a brother and two aides.

Senator OBA, who represents Akwa Ibom North East Senatorial District stated this when the family held a thanksgiving service in honour of Late Akparawa Ofonmbuk Robert Akpan at the Living Faith Church, Youth Avenue, Mbiabong Etoi, Uyo, Sunday, November 6, 2022.

Delivering a vote of thanks on behalf of the Albert’s family, Sen. OBA thanked the Almighty God for a hitch free funeral service, the Living Faith Church and other Christian denominations, political chieftains across all parties, Akwa Ibom people generally and friends for standing by the family during their sorrowful moment.

“I want to thank God for what he has used this church and others, to do in the life of my late brother and also to acknowledge the clement weather we had during the funeral service at Shelter Afrique Field on Saturday, November 5, 2022.

“My brother’s funeral became a uniting point for Akwa Ibom State. We thank God for the life of impact and purpose that he lived. We also thank God most sincerely for the repose of his soul”

“I know that God gave him an opportunity to give his life to Christ and he died in the Lord. We are grateful for what God has done and we say may his name forever be praised,” he said.

The Presiding Minister, Pastor Eddie Adeoye in his ministration, commended Senator Bassey Albert Akpan and his entire family for their abiding faith in the Almighty God as demonstrated during their trying times of losing their beloved ones.

Pastor Eddie Adeoye prayed for the family and solicited God’s divine protection and provision upon the wife and children of the deceased and the entire members of the Albert’s family.

The family thanksgiving service, led by Mr. Atai Albert, the elder brother of Senator OBA, had the presence of the members of Akwa UbokAbasi Campaign Organization led by the chairman, Campaign Council, Sir Emem Akpabio, members of YPP, friends and well-wishers.
