SA to Governor Udom Emmanuel on Local Media, Mr. uko Umoh has donated a coaster bus to Choristers of The Apostolic Church, Uyo Assembly in appreciation to God over the convincing Victory of his boss and PDP family at the last polls.
The special thanksgiving Service took place last Sunday, at Uyo Assembly of The Apostolic Church popularly known as #69 Oron Road, Uyo.
The elated SA who was full of praises to God disclosed that his gesture was in line with the vow he made to God during the electioneering tussle and thanked God for taking away shame from the church and granting resounding Victory to Governor Emmanuel, the Church and entire Akwa Ibom people.
“It wasn’t easy, so I told God in my closet, if the burden, if the shame is taken away from my boss, the Governor of this State, with a landslide victory, that I will stand before this congregation and testify of his faithfulness, so that is why I am here”. Mr. Uko Umoh redeemed.
Leading the congregation into thanksgiving, Mr. Uko Umoh sang alongside the congregation from Efik Hymnary No. 85, adding that if your boss is a believer of the gospel and dependent on God, your countenance shall always be radiant.
Mr. Uko Umoh reasoned that if the Lord had not been on the side of Governor Emmanuel and good people of Akwa Ibom, Governor Emmanuel’s numerious appointees in the church would have been put to shame.
He further thanked God for preserving the lives of government functionaries and Akwa Ibom people during the electioneering campaigns, even those who were earmarked for arrest by desperate political bigots, God in his infinite saw them through.
“I was marked for arrest alongside other PDP stakeholders in the State, God kept us. Even those that were eventually arrested and detained by Security operatives, no life was lost, they all re-united with their families in good health with sound mind”.
Mr. Uko Umoh appreciated Governor Udom Emmanuel for appointing members of the Church into leadership positions in his administration and prayed God to continually shield him and his household as well as imbuing him with the much needed wisdom to steer the affairs of the State to a more enviable heights.
Responding on behalf of the Church, the ‘Responsible Elder’ Prof. Edet Udo who is also the Chairman, Technical Committee on Agriculture and Food Sufficiency lauded Mr. Umoh for his benevolence to the Church.
He also appreciated Governor Emmanuel for appointing members of the Church as disciples in his industralisation drive and remained optimistic that the Governor shall leave no stone unturned in bettering the lots of Akwa Ibom people in his second term bid in office.
